Meet Anna Bear, aka “Little Orphan Annie”. Anna is a spayed, female, black purebred Neapolitan Mastiff puppy who will be available for adoption in April. She is currently 22 months old and absolutely adorable. She has beautiful hazel eyes with long eye lashes, a look that will melt you. Anna needs a home with adults, no young children because she is large and powerful. The adoptive parent must have experience with giant breed dogs, Neos are not for the novice dog Owner. If you haven’t had Neo experience, please read up on this ancient breed, they are gorgeous with lots and lots of wrinkles, however, they can be demanding and want to be with their human Companions all of the time. They move like a cat and have a brain like an elephant, they never forget. They are also emotional and are absolutely devoted to their human Companion. Anna can be a dominant female and may do okay with another large male dog, but no females please. Neo Mastiffs are known for getting along with the opposite sex and not so good with same sex doggie companions and with Anna, she may need to be in a home as an only dog. If you are interested in “Little Orphan Annie”, please complete our Family Profile and submit either by fax or regular mail. We will consider only a local adoption, no out of area adoption for this Neo. Other requirements are summarized on our “Family Profile”. If you would like more information about Neapolitan Mastiffs and Anna Bear, please don’t hesitate contacting Robyn at 1-800-713-7177.

Medea |
" - SPECIAL NEEDS NEAPOLITAN MASTIFF
Medea recently came to Sugarland Ranch and has demonstrated her wonderful capacity to love and bond with her very special human Companion. She also has another side due to her visual impairment to those individuals she does not accept. Initially, we were told that she was blind but quite functional and now that we've had the privilege of interacting with her, loving her, we are confident that she has some vision. Her vision is pending evaluation by our DVM. When working with special needs people or animals, they bring so much more to the relationship and seem to compensate in ways we can only imagine. In Medea's case, she follows close to your verbal and scent cues and takes walks with her special humans whom she adores, in a restricted area for safety. She either immediately bonds to you or she doesn't and needs to be rehomed with a mature, single, home body female, no other pets in the household. The adoptive parent will have the ultimate protector and friend. We're looking for that very special individual who is searching for their absolute soulmate. Medea is a senior Neo, we estimate about 6 yrs. old however she is very energetic, loves to take walks, be groomed and just loved. She loves sleeping in the bed with her human. Unfortunately Medea hasn't had a lot of TLC, her story is tragic. Her Owner was killed in an auto accident and she then lived with the Owner's family who really didn't have the time nor interest in loving her. Eventually, she was returned to the breeder who hence found us to provide that special TLC and lots of love until her own special human can be found. She is such a beautiful soul and I know there is someone out there who she can connect to and provide each other the best years of the utmost loyalty and companionship. She is a black Neo with natural ears and comes from excellent lines and other wise healthy.
