The Military Deployment Program provides boarding for dogs and cats belonging to members of the U.S. Armed Forces who are deployed to combat areas, for example, Iraq or Afghanistan. Their pets stay at Sugarland Ranch for the duration of their time out of the country on a sliding fee schedule as mutually agreed and/or a donation, if they are able. This program operates also by community donations to support the program. Soldiers’ Companion Pets are cared for in our safe, loving, home-like environment. Daily exercise, great specialized meal service, comfortable sleeping areas & plenty of love and attention is provided to each Pet. Sugarland Ranch uses video conferencing programs such as Skype to keep our Soldiers and Pets in contact with each other.
